Getting Involved
- This is a Beginners' Guide to getting involved in OSM. You may want to watch a quick introduction video online from this series to get you up to speed.
- This guide assumes you have already registered with OSM both here and on this wiki, which are two separate logins.
- More advanced questions, and FAQs can be found on their own pages around the wiki, and more information is available here. Additional help from the community can be found in various places.
The 5 steps to making a map
- This is just for the basic start guide, and is JOSM oriented. If you are just looking for a simple way to get a bit of a taste for OSM, then Potlatch and its useful little guide may be what you are looking for. For JOSM, follow these basic steps to make your first OSM mapping contribution.
