Bristol is a city, authority and county in the South West of England, 115 miles west of London.
With a population of 400,000 it is England's sixth most populous city, one of England's core cities and the biggest city in South West England.

Yahoo! Aerial Imagery covers all of Bristol and a lot of the surrounding area:
We can map these areas much more easily. We still need to visit the streets to gather street names and other details, but the general road layout can be mapped without even going there. See Yahoo! Aerial Imagery.

- 1:30pm Meet at Watershed to upload GPS data
- 2:30pm Go out for more mapping
- 5:30pm Meet at pub The Ship for drinks and then onward for a meal.
Sunday 25th

GPS base map
There is a Garmin IMG file available for Bristol based on OSM data from 22/02/2007. This was created using mkgmap which is still experimental, but I've had good success using it as a base map for my mapping in Bath.
