GPS Receiver
From OpenStreetMap
(Redirected from GPS receiver)
A GPS Receiver (also known as "GPS Unit") is a gadget which allows you to acurately pinpoint your position, by receiving radio signals from GPS satellites. See Wikipedia:Global Positioning System. Such devices are available commercially from a number of different suppliers, with models varying widely in price and features offered.
We are particularly interested in using GPS receivers to log tracks. GPX files can be uploaded to openstreetmap.org to help build our maps.
