POI-Upload

The most practicable way to upload (many) POIs seems to be as follows:

  1. Convert your file cotaining the POIs (for example a gpx file) to osm-format using http://www.gpsbabel.org/ (for windows build a GUI version is available)
  2. Load the osm-file into JOSM
  3. Tag the POIs in JOSM
  4. Upload the changes to OSM with JOSM

(This way of POI-upload does not require the circumstantial step to upload POIs as track points and redraw them.)
