At least here in Germany we have got several different kinds of cycleways; most of them can be tagged with the mapfeatures, but one still resists: Paths marked with the following sign:
http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bild:Zeichen_240.svg
They can be used by cycles and pedestrians with no one of these two having more rights. At the moment I can render this as "highway=cycleway, foot=allowed" or as "highway=footway, bicycle=allowed", both is wrong, because on the maps this path is either rendered as cycleway or footway, leading the opposite group of mapusers astray.
At the moment I use the first one, because we also have footways, where cycles are allowed, but may only go at a speed of about 6km.
Anyway I think, that this type of way cannot be tagged correct yet, and therefore I suggest the new tag "highway=cycleandfootway". --Kumakyoo 18:52, 27 April 2007 (BST)
