| Stats | The main statistics page, showing number of users, amount of data, etc. |
| Data stats | Normally automatically updated every day, and show the number of ways, nodes, relations, etc. in the database. That page also shows the leaderboards for people uploading data. There are also totals from Osmxapi, and other statistics by Tagwatch. |

OpenStreetMap Statistics Available
database stats, performs analysis on the database that makes OpenStreetMap work and can tell you things like how many points people have uploaded. There are also some munin graphs showing the system performance trends.

Planet Statistics - Graphical
The graphs below use data derived from the weekly planet dumps to chart the amount of data held by the OpenStreetMap project. The Totals graphs show the total number of objects of each class found in the planet file of that date, with nodes & segments measured against the left axis, and ways against the right axis. The New Objects graphs show the increase or decrease in the number of objects of each class from that planet file to the previous.
All Data
These stats include all data found in the planet file. It includes the contributions of mass data imports such as Tiger and AND.
Excluding Imports
These stats try to exclude the effects of the mass imports. Specifically the following are excluded:
- the initial 2006 Tiger import. Some of this data was hard to identify, so the data has been "manipulated" to try and remove its effect. Put another way, some of the early numbers are a bit made up.
- the 2007 Tiger import. All data with a source=Tiger* or tiger:flid tag that hasn't been reviewed (tiger:reviewed=no).
- all data specifying source=AND, or with a AND_nosr_r tag. No attempt has been made to account for AND data that has been subsequently edited.
- all natural=coastline data. Most of this will have been imported (and lots has then been edited, but it's still excluded).
The switch from the 0.4 API to 0.5 API caused a major spike in the number of ways as unwayed segments were converted, and the end of segments forever -- that's the odd kink in the graph. The Tiger import masks this to some degree on the previous graphs.

Note: While it's not entirely clear what caused the increased growth at the end of May, we do know that OSM was featured in several different mainstream media in Germany in the last week of may. See OpenStreetMap in the press
