Where ?

Toronto is the most populous city in Canada and is found on the shore of Lake Ontario.

Progress

Some good progress has been made mapping the city centre. This page will follow the progress of the OpenStreetMap project in adding to the free map of Toronto.

GPX tracks in Toronto are irregular but appear to be increasing.


Colour and symbol legend

The status of each map region is indicated by a symbol, which describes the type of feature, and a colour, which indicates the completeness of that feature in a map region.

Meaning of symbols

  • Image:State_Labelled.png: Street names are labelled. This means that the map can be used to find an address.
  • Image:State_Car.png: Roads for car traffic are present. One way streets and pedestrian streets are present. This means that the map can be used for car navigation.
  • Image:State_Bike.png: All cycleways, and field and forest roads suitable for bicycles are present.
  • Image:State_Foot.png: All footways are present.
  • Image:State_Transport.png: Alle öffentlichen Verkehrsmittel und ggf. Güterbahnen sind vorhanden.
  • Image:State_Public.png: All public institutions are present (Churches, sports facilities, venues, schools, hospitals, city hall).
  • Image:State_Fuel.png: All petrol stations are present.
  • Image:State_Restaurant.png: All restaurants are present.
  • Image:State_Tourist.png: All tourist attractions are present.
  • Image:State_Nature.png: Alle natürlichen Bereiche wie Flüsse, Seen und Wälder sind vorhanden.
