Whose node is it?
From OpenStreetMap
Consider the case where:
- User A goes out and gathers a tracklog
- User B traces that to form segments
- User C creates a way from those segments and labels it "highway=primary"
- User D adds a name for the road
- User E goes through and adds more intermediate nodes, so that it fits the tracklog better
How does attribution work for that node?
- How does attribution works on Wikipedia when text are modified, ortograph corrected, etc. ? Just made edit history available and that's done. Wawet76 11:56, 8 Jul 2006 (UTC)
What happens if user B wants to dual-license her contributions?
Perhaps in some situations nodes would not be able to be dual licensed. We could reduce this impact by allowing non Public Domain editors to choose to PD contributions if a node they are editing is PD already.
