خريطة الطريق المفتوحة هو مشروع هدفه المباشر انشاء وتوفير بيانات جغرافية حرّة مثل خرائط الشارع إلى أيّ شخص يريدها.بدأ المشروع لأن أكثر الخرائط التي تفكّر بأنها حرّة حاليا ليست كذالك لأنها مقننة أو لها قيودا تقنية على إستعمالهما، تمنع النّاس من إستعمالها في الطّرق الغير متوقّعة ، المنتجة أو المبدعة.

1-Give villages, hamlets, places, towns, cities , regions, mouhafazat and cadaa arabic and latin names
solved , to find/search place name (also in arabic characters) a huge table has been added , follow this link LebanonPlaceNames
2- identify and tag major geographic features like rivers, lakes, forests, agricultural/industrial/academic/residential zones
3-find some official street naming sources
4-find correct and for lebanon adapted highways tagging labels: motorways, trunks, primary, secondary, tertiary residential, tracks (agricultural are often seen there... ) and the way to give them a name or a number
