It would be nice to know what the intentions for the future is regarding the coastline import.

Are we supposed to do this ourselves for areas we are interested in?
What can we do with imported coastlines? I mean anyone with local knowledge may notice errors can we edit it directly in the database?
It is stated for the PGS data that it will be changed and updated to be kept current. Does that mean there will (should) be future deletions and updates of the imported data aswell?

Current thinking[1] [2] seems to be:

No new imports, possible deletion of existing imports
Coastline data stored in various separate databases
Integration of coastline data at the point of use, i.e. the map renderers deal with coastline shapefiles themselves
- e.g. Integration of coastline data with tile generation
