Rationale

Aquariums are common and popular visitor attractions (see Wikipedia's [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_aquaria list of acquaria). They're clearly defined, and well understood, and would thus make a good addition to many a map.

Usage

The tag can be used on a node or an area.

The tag should be used for public (free or charged) stand-alone aquarium attractions (ie not part of a zoo). Generally the attraction is entirely or mostly indoors. Large, outdoor theme-park style marine attractions (eg SeaWorld) would generally not be included.

The Feature Page for the approved proposal Aquarium can be located at Tag:tourism=aquarium.

Why is this feature approved?!? http://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Proposed_features#Approved says as a rule of thumb: "8 unanimous approval votes" or "widely used" (which is also not the case - 6 times in general). Please remove this from the approved and map features pages again! -- Ulfl 02:44, 24 April 2009 (UTC)
