Battle

Battle's main selling point is the remains of the Abbey built by William the Conqueror after the 1066 "Battle of Hastings", which makes it a tourist town in the summer.

Battle consists of one central street, with smaller roads leading off in all directions There are footpaths running parallell to the main street, you can almost circle the whole town on foot without going near the highstreet.
