This will be a friendly meetup of openstreetmappers in Brisbane, hopefully with a few interested newbies thrown into the mix.

When: 19:00 Friday 21st August 2009

Where: The Plough Inn, Southbank, South Brisbane

The Plan

19:00: Have steak and drinks, talk about OSM

20:30: Do a little mapping (for those interested)

The Map

No mapping required! But if you *want* to, there's plenty of things to add at Southbank:

  • building names
  • shops and restaurants in South Brisbane
  • footways in the Cultural Precinct
  • missing footways
  • missing amenities (water fountains, toilets, playgrounds, seats, shelters, etc.)

For people new to mapping, I'd (DavidDean) be happy to give a demo of some field mapping after we've had a nice steak and a few drinks!

If you want a printable map suitable for making notes on, you can get one from http://walking-papers.org/print.php?id=h54nggq4 .
