A charity shop is a shop operated by a charity, for the purposes of fundraising. Also known as a thrift shop, thrift store or op shop.
Usually selling a mixture of second hand goods, donated by the public. eg books, clothing, toys, furniture. May also sell some new products, eg confectionery, crafts. Often manned by volunteers although the shop manager may be an employee.
Some charities have shops dedicated to selling specific classes of goods: for instance Oxfam Books and British Heart Foundation furniture stores in the UK. These should be tagged as shop=books and shop=furniture respectively. The typical high-street charity shop in the UK sells an often eclectic mix of goods which would be otherwise difficult to classify, but they represent a distinct and large retail category.
