Description
Deutsch: Mundloch des Bingerlochstollens (auch Elisenstollen) bei Bingerbrück, Rheinland-Pfalz.
Unter den Gebrüder Wandesleben wurde 1894 mit dem Vortrieb des Stollens begonnen. Bis zur Einstellung der Arbeiten im Jahr 1906 wurden dort 71.000 t Eisenmanganerz abgebaut. Danach diente der Stollen bis zu seiner endgültigen Stilllegung im Jahr 1920 nur noch der Entwässerung der Grube Elisenhöhe, die bereits seit 1911 zur Grube Amalienhöhe gehörte. Die Wasserlösung wurde danach für beide Gruben vom 1914 entstandenen Rheinstollen übernommen. (Quelle: Klaus Klemp: Grube Dr. Geier. Monument des deutschen Erzbergbaus.
