Geo-Imaging
Enabling the geo-imaging-function on your artemis is very easy. But all what you do, you do it on Your Own Risk!!! If you are not sure, what you do, keep your hands off!!!!
To enable the geo-imaging-function I recommend the Total Commander(freeware). Then goto \\\registry\HKLM \ Software \ HTC \ Camera \ P9. Here you change the value "enabled" from 0 to 1. Now reset your HTC Artemis, enter the camera-menu and you will find a new mode (see picture) . After waiting for a short time you're ready for geo-imaging. But you only can save pictures on the phone, not on the sd-card. At Your Own Risk

HTC Hero is a Mobile Phone running Android. It has a replaceable MicroSD card for tracks or geotagged images, and the posibility to expose this as a removable drive for Windows/Linux/Mac computers.
- Software
Geotagged images: Footprints is a photo geotagging application that comes with the phone. With the GPS active, you can use it to take photos and later export them as *.kmz-files to the MicroSD. These can be unzipped for access to geotagged JPG files. These can then be viewed in for example JOSM using the AgPifoJ-plugin.
Tracks: The phone is not delivered with any application that can easily be used for GPS tracking. See Android for a full list of available software. Two apps of note: My tracks from Google, an Android application available on the Market that can save tracks and later convert these to *.kml or *.gpx for you. Nicolas Guillaumin is developing OSMtracker (Android), also available via the market. Both are known to work on this phone as of Android 2.1.
Editing: Possible using Vespucci.
