This is a past event. The third mapping party in the Summer 2008 London Mapping Party series. This was the first one north of the river.

When

2008-05-21 Wednesday Evening

Mapping Area

Isle of Dogs, to the east of the DLR (Lewisham Branch between Canary Wharf and Island Gardens). This section of the DLR is in zone 2.

The nearest tube station is Canary Wharf on the Jubilee line, in zone 2.

The nearest mainline stations are Limehouse/Fenchurch Street in the North, and Greenwich in the South.

After Mapping Meetup

There are lots of areas that are completely unmapped, others are just unnamed. There are some areas where it is obvious that there are errors in the data, particularly main roads that suddenly do a zig zag.

Who's coming

  • Harry Wood - I'll arrive 7ish at Canary Wharf and walk down to the pub from there This means I'll be able to pick up various slices partially: 7, 8 north side... then down Manchester road so 8 east side. 9 east side. 10 east side. That's the plan anyway.
