Een plek voor de productie of verwerking van op maat gemaakte goederen. Om onderscheid te maken tussen handel, dienstverlening en ambacht, wil dit voorstel shop=* reserveren voor de handel (gericht op de verkoop van voor-geproduceerde goederen) en craft=*gebruiken voor kleine productie op aanvraag en in opdracht. In tegenstelling tot man_made=* worden de goederen vaak aangepast aan de behoefte van de klant en speciaal voor hen geproduceerd.
Als de verkoop van artikelen en de productie daarvan van gelijke betekenis is, kunnen beide tags shop=* en (craft=*) worden toegevoegd. Plekken die algemeen worden aanvaard als winkels, moeten niet worden omgevormd tot ambachten (bij voorbeeld shop=bakery of shop=butcher).
Er is ook een JOSM preset voor deze sleutels.
Waarden
Je bent vrij om waarden te gebruiken die voldoen aan jouw lokale en landelijke omgeving, cultuur en taal. Gebruik bij engelse benamingen de enkelvoudige vorm, bv. carpenter en niet carpenters or carpenter's.
