U kunt in principe 5 dingen doen op MAP & route:


Zoek

Enter a placename, street address or postalcode of Germany into the text box in the Search section on the left side of your screen. Then hit the 'search'-button. If your input was unambiguous, the map instantly zooms to the placename or street address you entered. Otherwise, several records matching your input are listed on the lower left corner of your screen. Clicking on one of the listed records, makes the map zoom to that location.

Navigation

  1. Use the zoom bar in the upper left corner of the map.
  2. Select an area while holding down the 'shift' key.
  3. Use your mouse wheel.
  1. Click into the map. While holding the left button drag the map.
  2. Use the arrows in the upper left corner of the map.


Routing

Select start and end points

If your input was ambiguous, several records matching your input are listed on the lower left corner of your screen.
Click on the correct record.

It is possible to drag the start and end point on the map manually.
Therefor you select the start- or end point by clicking into the respective textbox and click on the respective arrow on the map. While holding the left button drag the start or end point to the new position.

route calculation

If the route should be calculated for other kinds of mobility, you can select it in the adjacent textbox of "more options".
If this happens after adding the start and end point, you have to press the button "Calculate".

Enter a placename into the textbox as it is described above. Die Eingabe der Adresse erfolgt wie oben beschrieben.
To add further viapoints, just click "add Viapoint" as often as you like.

It is possible to drag the viapoints on the map manually.
Therefor you select the viapoint by clicking into the respective textbox and click on the respective arrow on the map. While holding the left button drag the viapoint to the new position.

more options

Click on "more options".


The route will be displayed on the map, navigation instructions will appear in the lower left corner of your screen. The route is offered as GPX-Download also.

Avoid Areas

You can specify areas that will be avoided by your route. Do this using one of the tools provided (Draw polygon, Edit polygon, Select for delete, Pan the map):

Remember: It is important that you change to the 'Pan the map' mode after drawing, editing or deleting a polygon.

POIs

You can search the map for points of interest (POI) such as hotels, bus stops or restaurants.
You have 3 possibilities to do this:

  1. Specify your position: Select "Pick Position". Then click on the map to choose the position.
  2. Select POIs by category (e.g. public transport, amenity...) or by single points (e.g. bus station, cinema, bakery...).
  3. Click display to get POIs matching your search criteria rendered on the map and listed in the lower left corner of your screen.
  4. If you like to start a new search: click "Clear".

  3. Select a point of your interest.

ACCESSIBILITY ANALYSIS

Find out, how far you can reach from a specified location in a given time span using the Accessibility Analysis.

  1. Select your start point on the map: "Pick Position".
  2. Specify a time span: "Set Minutes"
  3. Click "Analyse".

A polygon around your starting point will be processed and displayed on the map. The borders of the polygon represent the maximum distance that can be travelled from the start point in each direction in the specified time span with a car.
