OpenRouteService.org - Help

U kunt in principe 5 dingen doen op MAP & route:

• 1. Bladeren in de kaart.
• 2. Zoeken' voor een Locatie van een bepaald adres (geocode), voor de-adres van een bepaalde locatie (reverse geocode).
• 3. Search points of interest (POI's), zoals hotels, winkels of restaurants in de buurt op een bepaalde locatie.
• 4. 'Vraag een route. U kunt dit doen voor een van beide auto's, fietsen of voetgangers. U kunt ook opgeven gebieden die worden vermeden door de route.
• 5. Ontdek hoe ver je kunt bereiken vanaf elke locatie in een bepaalde tijdspanne. We noemen deze functieToegankelijkheid Analyse.

Zoek

Enter a placename, street address or postalcode of Germany into the text box in the Search section on the left side of your screen. Then hit the 'search'-button. If your input was unambiguous, the map instantly zooms to the placename or street address you entered. Otherwise, several records matching your input are listed on the lower left corner of your screen. Clicking on one of the listed records, makes the map zoom to that location.

1. Use the zoom bar in the upper left corner of the map.
2. Select an area while holding down the 'shift' key.
3. Use your mouse wheel.

• slide

1. Click into the map. While holding the left button drag the map.
2. Use the arrows in the upper left corner of the map.

Routing

Select start and end points

start point:

1. possibility

• Select "Start" by clicking into the adjacent textbox. The textbox will be highlighted.
• Enter a placename into the textbox.
• Approve the input by pressing the ENTER-key or by clicking on the SET-button.
  

Remark:
If your input was ambiguous, several records matching your input are listed on the lower left corner of your screen.
Click on the correct record.

2. possibility

• Select "Start" by clicking into the adjacent textbox. The textbox will be highlighted.
• Click on the map to select a start point manually.
  

3. possibility

• Right click on the map where you would like to set your start point.
• Choose "set Start". The position is taken to the textbox.

end point:
1. possibility

• Select "End" by clicking into the adjacent textbox. The textbox will be highlighted.
• Enter a placename into the textbox.
• Approve the input by pressing the ENTER-key or by clicking on the SET-button.
  

2. possibility

• Select "End" by clicking into the adjacent textbox. The textbox will be highlighted.
• Click on the map to select an end point manually.
  

3. possibility

• Right click on the map where you would like to set your end point.
• Choose "set End". The position is taken to the textbox.

It is possible to drag the start and end point on the map manually.
Therefor you select the start- or end point by clicking into the respective textbox and click on the respective arrow on the map. While holding the left button drag the start or end point to the new position.

route calculation

• If the end point is selected the route is calculated automatically.
• The route will be displayed on the map.
• The navigation instructions will appear in the lower left corner of your screen. Clicking on one of the listed records, makes the map zoom to that location.
• The route is offered as GPX-Download also.
• Default is "Car (Fastest)".
  

If the route should be calculated for other kinds of mobility, you can select it in the adjacent textbox of "more options".
If this happens after adding the start and end point, you have to press the button "Calculate".

add viapoints

1. possibility

• Click on "add Viapoint". A textbox for a viapoint is added.
  

Enter a placename into the textbox as it is described above. Die Eingabe der Adresse erfolgt wie oben beschrieben.
To add further viapoints, just click "add Viapoint" as often as you like.

2. possibility

• Click on "add Viapoint".
• Click on the map to select an viapoint manually. The position is taken to the textbox.
  

3. possibility

• Right click on the map where you would like to set your viapoint.
• Choose "add Via". The position is taken to the textbox.

It is possible to drag the viapoints on the map manually.
Therefor you select the viapoint by clicking into the respective textbox and click on the respective arrow on the map. While holding the left button drag the viapoint to the new position.

removing viapoints

1. possibility

• Click on "remove Viapoint". The last added viapoint is removed.

2. possibility

• Right click on the map.
• Choose "remove Via". The last added viapoint is removed.

more options

Click on "more options".

• Specify 'language'.
• Specify 'distance units'
• You can choose 'no Motorways'
• You can choose 'use real time traffic'
• You can the tools for avoid areas.

The route will be displayed on the map, navigation instructions will appear in the lower left corner of your screen. The route is offered as GPX-Download also.

Avoid Areas

You can specify areas that will be avoided by your route. Do this using one of the tools provided (Draw polygon, Edit polygon, Select for delete, Pan the map):

• First you have to draw the Polygon to be avoided with the "Draw Polygon" tool , by digitizing the points that define the polygon. End the drawing by double-clicking the left mouse button.
• If you need to change the shape of the polygon you need to switch to the "Edit Polygon" tool . Then you can select and move the points that define the area.
• If you have not specified the start and end of the route you wish to calculate earlier, you then need to switch to "Pan the Map" mode . Then you can set start and end as usually by clicking on start and end in the "Routing" panel of the user interface.
• If you wish to delete a polygon to be avoided ("AvoidArea") you have to select the "Remove Polygon" tool , click on the polygon to be deleted and press the 'Del'-button on your keyboard.

Remember: It is important that you change to the 'Pan the map' mode after drawing, editing or deleting a polygon.

POIs

You can search the map for points of interest (POI) such as hotels, bus stops or restaurants.
You have 3 possibilities to do this:

• Search the nearest POI

1. Specify your position: Select "Pick Position". Then click on the map to choose the position.
2. Select POIs by category (e.g. public transport, amenity...) or by single points (e.g. bus station, cinema, bakery...).
3. Click display to get POIs matching your search criteria rendered on the map and listed in the lower left corner of your screen.
4. If you like to start a new search: click "Clear".

• Search POIs within a distance

1. Specify your position: Select "Pick Position". Then click on the map to choose the position.
2. Enter a radius in meter (Min/Max Distance) within which the search should take place.
3. Select a point of your interest.
4. Click display to get POIs matching your search criteria rendered on the map and listed in the lower left corner of your screen.
5. If you like to start a new search: click "Clear".

• Search POIs by name

1. Type the name of the point of your interest.
2. Click display to get POIs matching your search criteria rendered on the map and listed in the lower left corner of your screen.
3. If you like to start a new search: click "Clear".

ACCESSIBILITY ANALYSIS

Find out, how far you can reach from a specified location in a given time span using the Accessibility Analysis.

• Click "Accessibility Analysis"

1. Select your start point on the map: "Pick Position".
2. Specify a time span: "Set Minutes"
3. Click "Analyse".

A polygon around your starting point will be processed and displayed on the map. The borders of the polygon represent the maximum distance that can be travelled from the start point in each direction in the specified time span with a car.
