When you are online there are several ways to view the map. Like paper maps, you can choose from different maps covering the same area. The choice usually depends on the personal preference of rendering or the purpose for which you'll need it (hiking, cycling, tourism). The options listed here might highlight different information but they have one thing in common: they are all based on the free geographic data of the OpenStreetMap project.
Variety in map styles
