We have incredible coders. We have mappers that stay up all night adding lakes in Bolivia from aerial imagery. We have people building community across mailing lists, forums, IRC chat and mapping events. We have user interaction people. We have stunning cartography from the planets best cartographers. We have a sysadmin team second to none. We have a volunteer board doing their best with the tools they have.

There are some lists of users and measures of user activity:

• Special:Listusers - A list of all registered users on the wiki (not necessarily the same as registered users on OSM itself).
• Trac shows which developer last edited within various parts of the source tree.
• stat.html shows user editing activity (touched object count) ranking users this day/week/month
• Lolcat of awesomeness#Past Awards - People who are awesome.
