Basically something with a tall fence all around, guarded gates, etc., shown as a grey area on maps.
Opinion
- In examples that come to mind, I would tag the border (fence for example), and if nessesery the area could be tagged as gravel or whatever. Buildings could then be added in there. What element is it specifically that this proposed tag would cover, and be used for, that other tags wouldn't cover? Ben. 04:33, 23 Decemeber 2006 (UTC)
- I agree with Ben that this seems redundant - tag instead with a border=fence and identify the landuse or amenity: residential, industrial, prison ... Perhaps the proposer has some more specific usage in mind that might require a new tag?
