I suggest the definition should be Hairdresser (which would then cover both men and women hair cutting and styling) shop=hairdresser OR Beauty Salon shop=beauty_salon. OR make this two proposals? MikeCollinson 13:48, 30 October 2007 (UTC)

Having both shop=hairdresser and shop beauty_salon makes sense IMHO. BTW: Doesn't hairdresser obsoletes barbershop? -- Ulfl 06:01, 13 November 2007 (UTC)

Tag:shop=hairdresser got listed on the Key:shop page, and appears to be accepted. It's and one of the most used shop values in fact. I documented it properly quite a while ago. This proposal is therefore out-of-date by virtue of being accepted! -- Harry Wood 20:56, 4 January 2010 (UTC)
