Opinion

Surely the location of a peninsula would be obvious given the presence on the map of water on 3 sides. I'm not sure why this would need to be tagged explicitly. Richard B 21:57, 13 January 2008 (UTC)
most peninsulas are significant enough to have a name - this is so we can put a tag with it's name on Myfanwy 18:43, 14 January 2008 (UTC)
if the only reason for creating the tag is to enable it to be labelled as text on the map, wouldn't a more generic natural=label tag be more useful? Pt 18:55, 14 January 2008 (UTC)
giving it an explicit category enables a map/list of peninsulas to be made. no, i don't know why someone would want to do that, but it would be possible. the more information we can include, the better. maybe we should have a sub-tag below natural of 'land_feature' or something?
