State of the Map U.S. 2016 took place at Seattle University in Seattle, Washington, July 23-25.

Join the OpenStreetMap community at State of the Map US in Seattle, Washington. Connect with other mappers, businesses, government agencies, and non profits, all collaborating around the free and editable map of the world. Share your vision for the project, learn how to work with OpenStreetMap data, and hack on the latest mapping improvements.

Main conference July 23 and 24

Saturday July 23 and Sunday July 24 are two full days of two tracks of sessions from and for mappers, non profits, governments and businesses - everyone involved in and around OpenStreetMap and everyone who wants to learn more about OpenStreetMap.

Hands-On Day July 25

Monday July 25 is the "hands-on" day with mapping, code sprints, documentation sprints, workshops, and other projects and activities. Share your ideas and coordinate your activities for the hands-on day on the Wiki here:

Accommodations / Room Sharing

Note: Book a spot now at the Seattle University Housing Registration Page! These inexpensive Seattle University dormitory rooms are available as an alternative to hotel rooms, which can be $300+ per night and hard to get. The offered rooms are right next to the conference buildings and affordable (as low as $110 for two nights)!

Single or double rooms are available. For individuals looking to share a room, Seattle University can honor roommate requests, or can assign a roommate based on gender. See the link above for more information.
