Street Name Project (using SpiderOSM)

This is the home-page for an on-going project to cross-check OSM street names against jurisdictional data sources, with the aim of improving the accuracy of street names in OSM (and potentially also in the jurisdictional datasets.) The cross-checking is performed with spiderOSM, an open source conflation tool.

Relevant OSM Tags

• Key:name (Also alt_name, loc_name etc.)
• Key:source Typically set source:name to survey if site visit shows OSM name is correct.
• Key:fixme Set fixme:name to record notes for later editing. These will show up on the Mismatched Name Maps (after update - typically 24 hours.)
