A hydraulic cylinder is a linear mechanical actuator designed to deliver unidirectional force to a moving part of a system. It runs with a not compressible liquid fluid like oil instead of pneumatic cylinders (actuator=pneumatic_cylinder) which make use of compressed air.

This key was initially proposed to describe pipeline=valve but it is suitable for movable road bollards, automatic doors or any moving system also.
