Caution: This tag has not been approved and is not rendered on the main map views. The much more commonly used tag is man_made=pier which can be used for anything from a very small landing stages (including floating walkways) up to large structured with amusement arcades etc. Also.. jetty has two different meanings, one for what is tagged in OSM as a 'pier' and another for a man_made=groyne.


I still use this instead of man_made=pier for smaller piers. Erik Johansson (talk) 13:20, 23 May 2013 (UTC)
