Cleanup - Hotch-potch collection of "tricks"

This page is kind of messy. It's a rather hotch-potch collection of "tricks". Certainly it doesn't seem finished enough to include it in the tabs of the JOSM/Guide. I'm not sure how we can structure it better though. I feel like the page could become almost endless if we tried to add all the "tricks" we can think of. They'd be good as google-able individual things on help.openstreetmap.org somehow. Or perhaps these kinds of things could be individually put as little lightbulb boxes in the relevant sections of the JOSM reference manual site.

it could be split in categories like generic (of course :) ), selecting, searching, appearance. i wouldn't worry about the page becoming endless - if the amount of tips gets too high, worry about it then. the page is here since 2007 and has not exploded yet :) --Richlv (talk) 02:16, 9 May 2015 (UTC)
My worry is not so much about the specific problem of the page becoming endless, but the more general problem of the page being poor quality and a bit messy (which relates to the fact that it is directionless, with no clear purpose). A page being a mess is nothing new of course, but I'd like the JOSM/Guide (and pages included within it as tabs) to be a coherent high quality whole, which might very well mean we leave pages out of the tabs.
I removed it from the tabs before [1] but I see it was re-added [2], probably without seeing this discussion.
