improvement suggestions

  • possibility to add text notes, take pictures, and record audio notes which can used later for editing the osm data --Klumbumbus (talk) 19:45, 8 October 2014 (UTC)
  • make the background color of residential: 'street name' the same color like the box and the line --Klumbumbus (talk) 19:45, 8 October 2014 (UTC)
  • offline mode, to download an area with WLAN before you go out --Klumbumbus (talk) 19:45, 8 October 2014 (UTC)
  • I agree, this would be good as mobile volume is still expensive. --EinKonstanzer (talk) 22:26, 29 November 2014 (UTC)
  • translation in more languages (crowd sourced e.g. transifex!?) --Klumbumbus (talk) 13:06, 10 October 2014 (UTC)
... or weblate.org or other frameworks ... see Translation
  • add the features from OsmPad to enter addr: data (especially housenumbers) in a very easy way by grabbing addr: data from all streets around the target area, and offer the streetnames to enter as addr:street etc. --Stephan75 (talk) 19:31, 8 October 2014 (UTC)
  • No edit functions needed! Just a check app. My opinion on that. --EinKonstanzer (talk) 22:26, 29 November 2014 (UTC)
  • Sorting of tag information. Instead of adress data, the tag list should start with amenity and the name. Different people, different tasks makes a sorting necessary. --EinKonstanzer (talk) 22:26, 29 November 2014 (UTC)
  • Filter on displayed objects. Some objects are heavy tagget (e.g. http://www.openstreetmap.org/way/246021646). 10-15-20 tags on one object! Then think aboout the rare display space... As the area is pretty well mapped you focus only on special things to check. For a street the only thing you are interested in to check is the "lit=yes" tag. In this case there is more needless information displayed then the right ones. --EinKonstanzer (talk) 22:15, 29 November 2014 (UTC)

urgent improvement suggestions

  • Filter for objects against information overkill! In heavy taged areas you find 8 objects around 10 meters of you position. If you focus to check only special objects in the map there are too much needless objects displayed. The space on the screen is rare and it feels like your screen is covered mostly with crap. Even worse makes the fact the needless things drive out the thing which you focus on!!! --EinKonstanzer (talk) 22:15, 29 November 2014 (UTC)
