I'm really surprised that theres shop = hearing_aids tag but no body propose mobile telephony that is more common shops. Anyway have ideas and comments post them here. Also im not native English speaker, so if someone see error or can write in better grammar please correct me-Shadowriver 23:28, 12 February 2010 (UTC)

I didn't find any traces of how hearing_aids has been an approved map feature. Further questions and thoughts on it's talk page. --Kslotte 10:08, 13 April 2010 (UTC)
I know it's still proposed :p even so it's strange -Shadowriver 14:24, 13 April 2010 (UTC)

Telecommunication

I see we need to make the scope larger for this. What about shop=telecommunication? [1] --Kslotte 13:28, 16 February 2010 (UTC)

Hmmmm, as i see in my city, stationery telecommunication (other half of telecommunication) only limits it self to customer service offices, mobiles insted got specialized shops not even involved with service providers. Well, let's hear out others -Shadowriver 14:42, 16 February 2010 (UTC)
In Finland you usually find both stationary and mobile telecommunication at the same shops. Note the definition of telecommunication "In modern times, telecommunication typically involves the use of electronic devices such as telephones, television, radio or computers.". And its about services and products for communicating with the devices. --Kslotte 10:59, 17 February 2010 (UTC)

I would vote for shop=telecommunications, because such shops usually selling both stationary and mobile products. Question is how deal with scenarios when there is only mobile or stationary products there. --Pecisk 10:20, 13 April 2010 (UTC)

I support the generalization to the more generic shop=telecommunication. And I don't think we need to cover details of a shop's assortment (mobile or stationary products) just because we're tech-affine geeks ;) You won't distinguish tagging-wise a drugstore that sells photos as well either --Grille Chompa 12:20, 13 April 2010 (UTC)

I think about and you guys might be right, but it would be good to not change the icon. Ok, waiting for more comments on that -Shadowriver 14:20, 13 April 2010 (UTC)

I think it is fine with a mobile phone as a icon, since it is what probably most people associate with telecommunication. --Kslotte 16:13, 13 April 2010 (UTC)

Ready fro RFC?

Is this proposal ready for going into next phase RFC? Or is any finetuning on the proposal page still needed. --Kslotte 17:28, 18 February 2010 (UTC)

I try to finalize tomorrow, i was little busy lately :) after that we wait 3-2 days for any objection and we start RFC -Shadowriver 22:57, 21 February 2010 (UTC)
Hmmm it looks ok, so any objections and suggestions to friendly and additional tags? i will wait 2 days and start RFC procedure -Shadowriver 10:34, 22 February 2010 (UTC)

Sorry for huge delay ^^' Submiting RFC now! Awaiting discussion -Shadowriver 22:22, 12 April 2010 (UTC)

Services

Instead of using mobile_telephony:*=yes/no, to be consistent with e.g. shop=car, you could use service=* (e.g. service=repair;exchange) --Waldo000000 21:51, 13 April 2010 (UTC)

Good point, it will be better -Shadowriver 22:12, 15 April 2010 (UTC)
But what about mobile_telephony:services? -Shadowriver 22:13, 15 April 2010 (UTC)
I'd rather use service=mobile --SteveVG 17:25, 15 July 2010 (UTC)
service=mobile could apply to almost everything. Don't like. Lulu-Ann
Should the entire service=* be redraft? See [[2]] --SteveVG 12:42, 29 July 2010 (UTC)

Operator

Among subtags, I would also insert the operator of the shop (or semicolon separated operators if more than one). This applies especially for mobile operators shop (at least here in italy). RFC on this. --SteveVG 17:25, 15 July 2010 (UTC)
