Why not just call it "uic" instead of "uic_ref"? (Just like icao and iata.) The "ref" part doesn't really help to distinguish anything. So far the *_ref stuff seems to be road and route reference numbers only. -- Joto 15:39, 5 December 2007 (UTC)
From looking at already existing reference tags IATA and ICAO seemed to be the exception, not the norm. All other references have "ref" in their name. -- Dekarl 14:46, 28 February 2008 (UTC)
- It seems, this feature has been accepted without a vote. I suggest to move the Wiki page to just "UIC Reference" and delete the "Proposed feature/" in the title. --Marqqs 23:56, 6 February 2011 (UTC)
