Talk:Rana/Install guide

I'm having some trouble with the Configuring section. If I don't make a mod_config.py file, then the program runs, although there is nothing to see. But if I do

cp modules/example_config.py modules/mod_config.py
python rana.py

Then I errors. I have some thoughts about some of the errors, but I can't work my way through all of them. Can anyone help? --Abie 18:04, 8 July 2008 (UTC)

i am trying to use rana on the neo freerunner and i think everything installed correctly as the app runs but i don't ever get any maps. i see a bunch of png files under the cache dir but they are transparent. i also have the same issue as the abie above. if i try to use the mod_config.py file, i get errors. also, and this may be for the freerunner list, when i display rana on the neo, it doesn't accept window click events but when i remote display it on my desktop from the neo, it does respond to mouse clicks. any ideas on that one? thanks --peter

hi. can't help you with maps yet (still trying to get it to work on my freerunner), but I put an updated example_config file on wiki which should work better, and an updated rana.py which detects clicks on a high-resolution touchscreen. Ojw 15:25, 20 July 2008 (UTC)
