Should change the table to be a matrix where you can see different platforms as some of these applications are supported on several platforms. --Skippern 14:44, 14 December 2008 (UTC)
Viewing software using vector data
Is there any viewing software rendering the vector data dynamically, rather than just showing prerendered tiles? On my mobile phone I'm using GpsMid, which renders the map when it is viewed. A web site offering a service that renders the map directly in the browser would maybe be possible? If a mobile phone can do it, any computer would, right? --Erik Lundin 23:24, 17 December 2008 (UTC)
- Have a look at Gosmore: it uses vector data an a windows version is available --Stephan75 14:48, 18 December 2008 (UTC)
- I tried that once but didn't get it running, but will give it another chance. Still a web application would be delicious! :) --Erik Lundin 18:43, 18 December 2008 (UTC)
editing OSM data
I have heard that GPSMid now supports limited editing of tags should this function be shown on the list of OSM software? --Farrpau 18:08, 2 June 2009 (UTC)
Infobox for software?
Is it possible / desirable to add an infobox for software like the one on Wikipedia? Then standard stuff like which platforms it runs on, where's the home page, licence etc could be listed in a standard way on each software page. Eric2 16:15, 27 August 2009 (UTC)
Hi, what about a section for Personal Navigation Assistents e.g. TomTom, Falk, Garmin.... that aren't PDAs but not even mobile phones. --!i! 22:17, 9 August 2010 (BST)
Hi, we need a plan how we would like to organize the section of mobile Software. Endusers are focused on THEIR device so it would be good to keep the landing pages but move them clother to this page, to underline it's portal caracter.
On the other hand a software might be available on multiple plattforms and we would like to show up nescesarry details to the enduser in one table. This table would be to much for all plattforms, so splitt it up? --!i! 08:05, 11 August 2010 (BST)
We would need somebody for a template, allowing the users to easily identify the attributes they are adding and allowing us to alter the presentation. --!i! 14:13, 12 August 2010 (BST)
What about a section about the rising star WebOS, the new HP-owned, former new Palm OS? There are several tools for WebOS in the App Catalog. --DINENISO
- We are working on a bot centered Software cataloge where we can tag Software as WebOS of course :) Template:Software2 --!i! 21:38, 1 September 2010 (BST)
