shop=confectionery

What's the difference to shop=confectionery? Can I use this tag for a shop, which also produces special cakes or sweets on demand (e.g. wedding cakes)? --Moszkva ter (talk) 14:14, 27 March 2013 (UTC)

It is not clear which should be the default key, shop=* that have been along longer or the fairly new craft=*. You could decide for yourself, or use both. By the way, some use shop=pastry for places with more cakes than candy. Sorry for confusing more than helping./Johan Jönsson (talk) 13:05, 2 June 2013 (UTC)
The way I see it is that craft=confectionery (or any craft tag for that matter) are where confections (or whatever) are made. Whereas, shop=confectionery is where they are sold. Although, I doubt the distinction exists in actual tagging, but a place that makes confections, but doesn't sell them shouldn't be tagged as a shop and a shop that doesn't make them shouldn't be tagged with the craft tag. --Adamant1 (talk) 03:02, 6 September 2020 (UTC)
