How to tag the service area next to a marina? Like winter storage areas for boats, equipment storage areas, cleaning facilities etc?

I'm looking for a tag to use for the complete marina site. Comments?

This article lists man_made=* to mark mooring. There do not appear to be any mooring options in the documented man_made=* wiki article. This could use some clarity.

VHF channel

For marinas on the coast and large bodies of open water, the VHF channel is very important to contact the marina before entering. This information can be looked up in the miscellaneous OSM mobile apps and specifically the ones that support nautical maps. Is it a good idea to offer vhf=* as a default field to filled out or leave blank adding a new marina to OSM? Pander (talk) 08:54, 27 October 2022 (UTC)

Is this any boat "parking lot"

Is this tag suitable for any place constructed to keep a boat moored/parked when unused? I'm mapping a lake area where there are several unnamed small "parking lots" for 3–10 boats used by nearby residents. Or is this tag reserved for larger clubs and associations?

Or to put in comparative terms; is leisure=marina a "parking lot" or a "parking garage"? Or both? Or maybe something else? --Christoffre (talk) 00:08, 19 January 2023 (UTC)
