Combination: direction

I suggest to add direction=* as an useful combination, to define the direction towards which the "front" of the cross is facing. --Tordanik 22:40, 21 September 2012 (BST)

Done. --Fkv 23:16, 21 September 2012 (BST)

why summit:cross=yes tag

saw this discussion and its related https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Talk:Tag:summit:cross%3Dyes

can we know why cant we just use peak and cross tag on same node, why use summit:cross=yes --muzirian

I have never used summit:cross=yes as I felt that it is redundant to man_made=cross, but the reasoning behind summit:cross=yes may be to make it easier for renderers (particularly when the cross and the peak are separate nodes), or to indicate that the nearby cross is a summit cross and not a memorial. --Fkv (talk) 15:05, 2 February 2017 (UTC)

But its used only when nodes are same, not seperate :/ --muzirian

iD Editor description

Re: "iD incorrectly shows this tag as "Summit Cross" when that is not the only use for this tag." Has this been reported as an issue at the iD github? I didn't find it. --Jeisenbe (talk) 02:32, 7 June 2020 (UTC)

Religion tagging

Would it be useful to tag the religion of the cross?
