move to discourage use of this tag

This tag seems to be used very little and the description is very vague. In all situations i could imagine there are other better suited tags that are more widespread and more precise than this - most notable natural=wetland+wetland=bog, natural=heath, natural=grassland and natural=fell.

If there are no objections i would like to add a prominent suggestion to the page to use one of the alternative taggings above.

I tend to agree. Moor(land) looks like a collective term used by the British for heaths, grasslands and bogs sharing low vegetation. Even the Wikipedia-16px.png moorland article on Wikipedia is so messy and confusing that the term is just untranslatable. We should include a banner template asking for clarification, or discourage the use of this tag. --Fkv (talk) 11:40, 3 May 2015 (UTC)

Combinations

Why ele=*? I think that most moors (as the depicted example) are not that plain. --Fkv (talk) 11:40, 3 May 2015 (UTC)
