Difference between power=portal and the portal design of power=tower

What is the difference between the two following tag?

the only difference I can see on the two pages is that in power=portal the pictures the structures are made of concrete, while in power=tower the structure is made in metal lattice. (but I can not conclude that this is the difference)

When shall we use one or the other? It would be better if a clarification is insert in this page (tag power=portal), in the page about the tag power=tower, and the page about the key power=* --AnyFile (talk) 21:08, 17 January 2016 (UTC)

The two solutions are equivalent. power=portal aims to replace power=tower+design=portal because the second is inconsistent : you say it's a power tower then it isn't, it's a portal.
There are not so many real portal "tower", because they are often mistaken with h-frame towers. The difference between portal and h-frame : with h-frame, come conductors are anchored outside of the legs.
Then the final situation may be power=portal in one hand and power=tower + design=h-frame on the other. Fanfouer (talk) 12:20, 18 January 2016 (UTC)
