USSR topomaps

It is still unclear for me USSR topomaps is okay for mapping peaks or not. I guess names and altitude can't be protected bt copyright. Locations I can find on bing imagery. I'm fixing some stuff around Pamirs now. Preparing to travel there in second decade of september 2013. Oo-o-oo (talk) 08:08, 1 September 2013 (UTC)

Administrative boundaries

Having become aware of a license issue with GADM data only today, I have contacted GADM and asked for permission to use the data for Tajikistan. There are some precendent cases where permission was granted (http://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Contributors#GADM_.28Global_Administrative_Areas.29), but this is always a case-by-case decision, so it is possible that I'll have to remove them.
