Hierarchical listing?

What about listing the covered areas a little more systematically? I think implementing a hierarchical system (Continent - Country - maybe another administrative level - city) would make the page a little more clearly arranged for the user. --Florianschmitt 08:48, 19 October 2008 (UTC)

Then subpages like Yahoo! Aerial Imagery/Coverage/Africa would be better I think. --katpatuka 13:20, 21 October 2009 (UTC)
Yes, I'd appreciate that split! --amai 16:10, 27 September 2010 (BST)

Yahoo coverage map

I am busy creating a map with all boundary=Yahoo areas, to visualize the coverage. --Willem1 15:00, 27 May 2009 (UTC)

Good idea - I'm using hires=yes to mark hires areas, maybe they should get merged and managed somehow... --katpatuka 13:20, 21 October 2009 (UTC)

Hiya, I've just seen the possibility to create 'outlines' to specify the boundaries of the high res coverage of yahoo (see Switzerland!). Since I also made some of these I think this is the best (and easiest?) way of showing up the high res regions. Is there a way to do this? Thanks, Dirk --dirkolus 17:20, 26 August 2009 (UTC)

To see which areas of Yahoo exist in Germany i created a relation (i do it like the example of switzerland): Germany --mapserver 21:30 29 Dezember 2009

Relations showing Yahoo! hires-areas per country

I also saw the the Swiss example and liked it. I created similar relations for Turkey and Colombia using the following tags (example as for Turkey):

name=TR-Y!-Hires
note=Yahoo hires satellite image coverage of Turkey
type=collection

One can then use {{relation | nnnnnnn | Map}} to show the map of hires areas per country (example: relation Map of Yahoo! hires data for Turkey). --katpatuka 13:20, 21 October 2009 (UTC)

I'd suggest not to use the name tag, since in this case either lines or the name string may be rendered in the maps. The suggestions which came up then were the following:
hires=yes
description=see http://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Yahoo!_Aerial_Imagery/Coverage
note=Yahoo! Aerial Imagery Hires Bremen
source=DE-Y!-Hires-Bremen
render=no

Pieren changed the name tag of the germany relation to "Yahoo:name" which should be ok ... -- Schusch 18:39, 8 January 2010 (UTC)

Site redesign

Is redesign really good idea? It was introduced to the bottom a year ago and since that time remained there unchanged. It has some advantages (looks bit better for example), but also disadvantages (not possible more hierarchical headlines, no place for country relations or links; after copying lines with more detailed coverage that all will be at City/Region column, table design will be scrambled. Let´s discuss first, if redesign is better than current design. --Jkjk 18:07, 31 March 2010 (UTC)

(-) I like the redesign for continents and free text form better, it enables to describe more than one city within one relation or do some additional comments without being pressed into the table form. --Dirkolus 15:32, 7 April 2010 (UTC)
I like also more continent and free text form. I will change all page to that design (there will be no more world headline), if there will be no additional comment (i was hoping for some reaction from table design fan User:Esperanza). I am bit unsure about countries in multiple continents, but internal wikilinks (hope that they work inside single page) may help. --Jkjk 23:51, 7 April 2010 (UTC)
