Usage

Use {{@}} to replace the @ character within email addresses: it inserts an accessible image instead which complicates the automatic parsing of HTML pages harvested by bots to collect adresses they want to spam. It does not activate any clickable link (that would be also too easily parsable and harvested by spam bots).

You can also complicate the parsing of both the wikicode and the generated HTML using the syntax with two parameters:

{{@|account|example.org}}, which renders account, “ат”example“ԁοт”org,

where dots in the domain name specified in the second parameter will also be replaced by accessible images

The displayed address may still be copied manually and pasted as plain text where substituted characters will become readable for humans, and can be easily edited to a valid email address.
