Internationalization

This template needs internationalization. No matter what language wikipedia you push with this template the text returns xxx on wikipedia. If I was to push the Norwegian translation of the page I would like it to say xxx på wikipedia, and in Portuguese xxx no wikipedia. --Skippern 01:35, 13 June 2010 (UTC)

Text is misleading

This appears on pages like Key:bicycle as "Legal restriction for bicycles on Wikipedia". Which is just wrong. There's a 'W' logo - there's no need to say 'on Wikipedia' too. --Richard (talk) 09:04, 5 October 2017

Is it useful

I propose to remove its use, especially as there is a native linking available [[:w:Jupiter|random example]] random example is more readable in both code and rendered form Mateusz Konieczny (talk) 13:41, 5 November 2017 (UTC)

Insecure links

Hi, apparently this template always uses insecure (http://) links to Wikipedia, even when browsing OSM wiki over https.

These aren't external links, but crosswiki links; it seems this can't be fixed in the template, but in wiki configuration somewhere. Can anyone help with that? Intgr (talk) 09:02, 27 August 2020 (UTC)

Strange sentence order in Chinese language

The original form is sth. on wikipedia, and it only allow translator edit the on wikipedia part.

So current we only can translate as yue = 喺維基百科, zh-hans = 于维基百科, zh-hant = 於維基百科, and template render as sth.于维基百科, but this is strange in Chinese, it will be more frequent if display as 维基百科上的sth.

How can I change this?

There is no such parameter as icon=yes. Please fix the template or the documentation. maro21 12:38, 26 June 2022 (UTC)
