Liancourt Rocks is a group of islets in Eastern Asia at latitude 37°14′30.01″ North, longitude 131°52′00.01″ East.

The Liancourt Rocks, also known as Dokdo (독도) or Tokto in Korean, and Takeshima (独島) in Japanese, are a group of small islets.

While South Korea has de facto control over the islets (as part of Ulleung County, North Gyeongsang), its sovereignty over them is contested by Japan (as part of Okinoshima, Shimane Prefecture).

There also exist signs and buildings by the South Korean government on the islets. So it's mapped as South Korean; see Disputes#On_the_Ground_Rule.
