Students learning the OpenStreetMap editing process at a previous UCL event

This is a past event from 2nd of March 2012. A mapping party day for the MSc students at the Bartlett’s Development Planning Unit. The event was organised by User:Petzlux.

Focus was on accessibility for reduced mobility users, 6 groups, each group getting one area around UCL to map by walking around with paper map provided. Some also used their smartphones (with OSM Apps) to collect data as well.

In the classroom session groups fed into OSM the data they collected using Potlatch. A secondary task was then to get data back from OSM into QGIS, so they can create a map.
