I live in West Oxfordshire, UK, and for the last 10 years have been a Super Conducting Magnet Enginner, testing, repairing and installing in Hospitals, Universities and pharmaceutical companies all over the world.

Prior to that I was a professional Programmer since the age of 20, right at the start of the commercial computing revolution. The first CPU I worked on (ICT 1901) had a massive 4000 words (12000 bytes) of main memeory.

In 2006 I stumbled on a GPS receiver and have since developed two products with OSM in mind. BSGPS(Laptop) , and BSGPSPDA both display "moving" Osmarender tile maps. This development was great fun and stretched my Maths knowledge to the limit. Mercator and OSM tile map address and coordinate calculations were great exercises for my "mature" brain.
