My name is Candid Dauth and I’ve been mapping for OSM since November 2008. I’ve recently begun to study Information Systems Technology in Aberdeen, Scotland. Previously, I used to live in Ingerkingen (commune of Schemmerhofen), Baden-Württemberg, Germany and Bayrischzell, Bayern, Germany.
I feel responsible for proper mapping of the commune of Schemmerhofen, which means that I consistently try to improve the level of detail there. I have also mapped the Donau-Bodensee-Radweg bicycle route, which crosses my commune, and try to keep it free of mistakes. Sometimes I go out to do some unmapped villages, but usually I never look after them again.
I have contributed to OSM with some useful applications. I speak JavaScript, PHP and Java, which is an optimal combination to write OSM tools. The software is available on http://osm.cdauth.eu/ or http://facilmap.org/:
This map shows most of my district (there is actually one other active mapper there, who has done a lot of the north-east part):
