I started contributing to OSM a while ago for something to keep me busy, recently though I've moved jobs and am now involved in GIS projects all day long. So far I'm not using OSM at work, but likely will be in future. I'm mainly mapping the area to the north west of Leicester, and out towards Hinkley. I'm a programmer by trade and have beenpondering on developing some OSM applications for Windows Mobile devices. Specifically I would like to create an app for recording tracks, and adding POI on the fly. Either road names, types or point such as conveniences and landmarks. Another area I'm interesting in is real-time rendering of the OSM data, both in a desktop application and also serving graphics for web clients. I wonder if the two could be combined to provide accelerated live web tile serving.
