In my day job, I am a Deputy Vice Chancellor at The University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg. At night I write code for relaxation. I founded the African Virtual Open Initiatives and Resources (AVOIR) project and the Chisimba PHP development framework. I am looking at how to include some of the API based functionality from OSM into Chisimba. I am also a keen nature watcher and photographer, and hope eventually to contribute some data once I figure out how to do so.

All my contributions to OpenStreetMap are released into the public domain. This applies worldwide. In case this is not legally possible, I grant anyone the right to use my contributions for any purpose, without any conditions, unless such conditions are required by law.
