Who
I live in Gent.
Why
Want to give it a try to contribute to OSM.
Where
Will focus mainly on:
- residential streets in Gent urban area (North-East part)
- rural roads in Flemish Ardennes (Kluisbergen / Oudenaarde / Ronse / Ronse)
How
Tracing is done by bike/on foot, logging with Garmin GPSmap60CSX Settings:
- frequency = 1 point/sec;
- EPE = estimated position error = miswijzing <= 5m;
- basemap = Belgium OSM basemap installed to see which roads encountered are not known yet in OSM, and to avoid (of course) any contamination with Garmin copyrighted map data.
When
From start of 2009 on (some sort of new year's resolution)
